These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the booking and participation in tours operated by Butterfly Trip. By booking with us, you agree to these Terms, so please read them carefully before confirming your reservation.


1. Definitions

  • Signature Tours: Tours directly operated and managed by Butterfly Trip, including but not limited to our guided bike tours and countryside experiences.
  • Partner Experiences: Tours and activities organized in collaboration with carefully selected local partners. Butterfly Trip acts as a booking agent for these experiences.
  • Client/You: Any person booking or participating in a tour with Butterfly Trip.

2. General Requirements for Participation

  • Age & Health: Participants must be in good health and able to ride a bicycle or scooter (for bike/scooter tours). Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Safety Gear: Helmets are provided and mandatory for all bike and scooter tours. Participants must follow safety instructions from guides at all times.
  • Responsibility: Butterfly Trip is not responsible for injuries, loss, or damage arising from failure to comply with safety rules or instructions.
  • Insurance: Travel or medical insurance is not included in the tour price. We strongly recommend that all clients obtain suitable travel and health insurance before participation.

3. What’s Included (Signature Tours)

  • Experienced English-speaking local guide
  • Use of bicycles, scooters (where applicable), and helmets
  • Entrance fees to listed attractions
  • Drinking water during the tour
  • Meals/snacks as indicated in the tour description

4. What’s Not Included

  • Travel insurance
  • Pick-up and drop-off services (unless specified)
  • Personal expenses, tips, or items not listed in the itinerary

5. Partner Experiences

For Partner Experiences, Butterfly Trip serves as a booking agent. While we carefully select our local partners, responsibility for the delivery of the activity lies with the partner operator. By booking a Partner Experience, you agree to the partner’s own terms, conditions, and liability policies.


6. Booking Policy

  • Confirmation: Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of payment or deposit (where applicable). You will receive a booking confirmation via email with details of your reservation.
  • Payment: Payment can be made online through our booking platform or in person at our office (if available). Full payment is generally required before the start of the tour.

7. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellations by Client:
    • More than 48 hours before the tour: Full refund.
    • 24–48 hours before the tour: 50% refund.
    • Less than 24 hours or no-show: No refund.
  • Cancellations by Butterfly Trip:
    • In the event of unsafe weather, insufficient participants, or unforeseen circumstances, Butterfly Trip reserves the right to cancel a tour. In such cases, you will be offered the choice of rescheduling or receiving a full refund.

8. Liability & Assumption of Risk

By participating in our tours, you acknowledge that cycling, scootering, and related activities involve inherent risks, including accidents, injuries, and unforeseen incidents. You agree to assume all risks associated with participation. Butterfly Trip, its employees, and its partners shall not be held liable for personal injury, illness, death, loss, or damage to property incurred during the tour, except where caused by proven negligence.


9. Changes to Itinerary

Butterfly Trip reserves the right to make adjustments to itineraries due to weather, road conditions, or other operational reasons. We will always strive to provide the best alternative experience possible.


10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Cambodia. Any disputes arising shall be settled in Cambodian courts.
